Celeb models wear red for charity as NY (Bcbg dress) fashion week opens 8 days of previews

(AP Photo/Richard Drew) NEW YORK (AP) - New York Fashion Week opened Friday amid an international debate about too-thin models, yet the first major runway show of the event featured women of all shapes, sizes, ages and colours.
The trend of high-brow clothing going low-price has been around for a few years, ranging from Karl Lagerfield's designs for H&M to Proenza Schouler' s new collection that is about to hit at Target.
The 8th annual Plus Awards, celebrating excellence in design in 20 distinguished footwear categories, are announced. (PRWeb Feb 2, 2007)
