I think this is great because they havent forgotten the veterans. Toward the end of a half-hour ceremony at Otis Elementary School in Fremont Thursday, several of Sandusky Countys veterans stood proudly as their names were called off by Barbara Moran, a fifth-grade teacher at the school.

Investigators think the driver of a pickup truck ran a red light and slammed into a car. 30-year-old Dawn Rice of Omaha was thrown from that car and died at the scene. Police say the driver of the truck left the area before they arrived.
