BEIJING, November 18 -- Chinese botanists are gathering in Beijing this weekend to select the flowers that will be used to decorate parts of Beijing for the 2008 Olympics.
Southlake Chapter of Leads Club and Schepel Buick/Pontiac/GMC host an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 16 at the deadlership, 3209 W. Lincoln Highway. Attendees can socialize with some of the premier business leaders in Northwest Indiana. RSVP.
Groups like Wonderful Outdoor World will expand its programs next year to construct outdoor play for urban youth who are economically disadvantaged to know nature. Nationwide, there's a boom in programs to connect media-focused children with the outdoors.
