Types of flowers - City to Celebrate Oak Tree Day
The city of Santa Clarita's Urban Forestry Division will host its second annual Oak Tree Day today to celebrate the city's official tree.
Southlake Chapter of Leads Club and Schepel Buick/Pontiac/GMC host an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 16 at the deadlership, 3209 W. Lincoln Highway. Attendees can socialize with some of the premier business leaders in Northwest Indiana. RSVP.
It was an uneventful drive through a torn-up St. Paul neighborhood in August that led Jim Dech to an overwhelming discovery. The white two-story house that stood at Dale Street and Blair Avenue in Frogtown for nearly a century was gone. Amid numerous construction projects in the neighborhood, Dech's childhood home was razed last spring.
