Four fishermen have been plucked to safety from a life raft after their boat sank in the North Sea. The crew of the Evening Star told coastguards they were abandoning ship, around 40 miles east of Peterhead in north-east Scotland.
Sri Lanka's navy sank three suspected Tamil Tiger craft off the capital's main harbor early on Saturday, and a large blast aboard one suggested it was an explosives-packed suicide vessel, the military said.
